At a first glance, the MouseMan+ may look very odd in design, but let me tell you, it is downright conformable. The mouse is designed for right-hand people so you lefties should look somewhere else. The MouseMan+ has two buttons and a wheel in-between where you place your fingers and another button near your thumb for easy access. Along the sides are soft touch grips which makes it even more conformable. Installation was straightforward. Plug the mouse into a PS/2 or a serial port (using the PS/2 to serial adapter). Then install the drivers provided on two floppy disks. When Windows is done restarting from the setup, you will be prompted with the MouseWare software which allows you to configure the mouse. The software lets you configure the following: middle and thumb button assignments, pointer images, cursor trails, wheel features, and a feature called smart move, which allows the cursor to automatically move itself to a pop up dialog box. Although you do not need to install the MouseWare software in Windows 98 to use the scrolling wheel feature, it is still advised that you install it so you may use the thumb button. As for Windows 95, the MouseWare software must be installed so you can use the wheel in any program. If you have Office97, you can zoom in or out easily by holding down CTRL and scrolling the wheel. Also, the wheel can be used as a weapon selector in games like Quake 2. A great feature for all Quakers. Logitech's MouseMan+ is a must have for all Windows users. Of course the mouse will cost you about $50, but after you try it, you will never want to go back to any other previous mouse. Reviewed by Tom C
