The Sims 2 Delayed
Electronic Arts has changed the date for The Sims 2 to be released later in the year. Click here for more details. EA will ship The Sims 2 in the later half of Calendar Year '04. We have learned from past launches that a game is ready when it is ready. The extra time in the studio will ensure a great game – one that is consistent with the high standards set by EA’s Maxis studio. When games spend more time in the studio, it almost always results in a better experience for the people that play them.

Supreme Ruler 2010 Beta

Publisher Strategy First and Developer BattleGoat Studios are pleased to announce that they have begun accepting applications for the open beta test for their upcoming strategy game, Supreme Ruler 2010 that is set to reach store shelves in Q2 2004.

If you’re interested in changing the course of future history, then follow this link to sign-up for the Supreme Ruler 2010 open beta test. It’s first come first serve and space is limited so waste no time.

http://www.strategyfirst.com/beta/ The year is 2010 and the Major Powers of the world as we currently know them have disintegrated into bickering economic and military regions. The United Nations has disappeared, and in its place an organization with far sharper teeth referred to simply as "The World Market" has taken its place. Individual Regions are left to fight for power to dominate their neighbors, their countries, their continents, and then the world.

Supreme Ruler 2010 represents the next generation of strategy game. Not another build and attack 'click fest', but a challenging simulation of political and military leadership. You control the agenda of your region as you maintain its economy, grow the support of your population, and strive to influence your neighbors. Through skilled management your influence and popularity will grow.... Will you be a successful diplomat, who can increase your power through an incredibly flexible diplomacy model, or will you be a ruthless and ambitious ruler that lets your tanks and missiles speak for you?

Montreal, Canada. January 21, 2004– Publisher Strategy First and developer Nicely Crafted Entertainment are pleased to announce they have signed a deal to bring the MMO RTS Time of Defiance to North American retail shelves in April, 2004.

“Nicely Crafted is interested in bringing strong strategy games to the PC market and so are we,” says Don McFatridge, President of Strategy First. “The future is online and Strategy First and Nicely Crafted plan to move there together.”

Time of Defiance Finds a New Publisher

Time of Defiance is an online-only massively multiplayer real-time strategy game set across the huge landscape of the shattered world of Nespanona. Fight for conquest of the islands and mine their mineral wealth to expand your empire.

Every other empire you encounter is another human playing online and will remember the deals you didn't deliver on and the promises you broke. Treachery, propaganda and trade are just as important as your fighting strategy. Have you got what it takes to create an unstoppable empire in your quest to take control of Nespanona?

“Time of Defiance is an innovative MMO title and we can’t think of a better match for it in the North American market than Strategy First”, says Toby Simpson, managing director of Nicely Crafted. “With the online gaming arena growing in size and popularity aligning ourselves with a dynamic publisher such as Strategy First makes absolute sense”.
